The Tsa’Chila are an Indigenous people of Ecuador known as the "Colorados," recognized for their deep relationship with the land and ancestral knowledge of plants, healing, and ritual. Their traditions reflect a living lineage of earth-based wisdom, cultural resilience, and reverence for the earth that continues to guide community life today.
The Tsa’Chila have connections with the Yumbos, the oldest Indigenous tribe of Ecuador, and are fighting to preserve their wisdom, culture, and healing methods. Once numbering 20,000 in the 18th century, today, due to marginalization, they are a community of about 2,000.
